The Carver Alumni Association gives away scholarships each year to deserving descendants of the Carver Alumni Association. We feel as if it is our way of giving back.

 

Traditionally, scholarships are awarded on academic achievement, determined by tests results and grade point averages. The Carver Alumni supports a new approach, allowing us to travel off the “traditional” path, to choose other causes. The Carver Alumni Scholarship Fund will consider academic performance as well as a high degree of “Need".

 

* Scholarship recipients are expected to participate in fundraising activities.

 

eligibility requirements

Applications must be postmarked or submitted online by May 1st.

​

• Applicant must be a direct or collateral descendant of an Carver Alumni.

​

• Anyone that has been accepted or already attending College, Trade or Technical School.

​

• Grade point average of 2.5 or above

​

• May apply yearly.

​

• The application may be mailed to Carver Alumni Association, 200 Willie Palmer Way, VA. 20132 or emailed to carveralumniassociation@gmail.com. Mailed scholarship applications must be postmarked by May 1st or the application will not be considered.

• Scholarship applications submitted online must be sent no later than May 1st.

​

• The application must be carefully checked and accurately filled in to be considered.

​

• Applicants are encouraged to assist the CAA in our endeavors, which may include volunteering to assist with events, becoming a member and/or helping to spread the word about how the organization helped you and may help others.
